Purpose

The purpose of this conference is to bring together the various theoretical chemistry groups from Texas and surrounding states. The conference will feature plenary talks by distinguished theoretical chemists, as well as contributed talks from regional participants.  All areas of theoretical chemistry are welcome. Special emphasis is placed on providing students and postdocs with an opportunity to present talks and posters on their work, and to interact with scientific leaders, including those from outside the region.

XXII SWTCC Outstanding Creative Young Scientist Award

This year, we continue the tradition of offering prizes to the most outstanding senior graduate student and postdoc presenting their work at this conference with a particular focus on the creativity of the work. Advisors are encouraged to identify students and postdocs whom they wish to nominate for this award, describing how much of the design of the work was done by the student or postdoc personally.
